Jackpotjoy Review: A Bingo Site First, With Slots That Rely on One Famous Fish
Jackpotjoy has run since 2002, sells £30 of free bingo or 100 spins for a £10 deposit, and carries a Gambling Commission licence. We checked the offer terms and asked whether its slots earn the same praise as its bingo.

Our verdict
Jackpotjoy is a bingo site that happens to carry a respectable slots lobby, not an equal split. Bingo tickets start at 1p, the welcome terms are clear, and the spins carry no wagering. The catch is the opt-in: you must pick bingo or slots before your first deposit, and that choice cannot be changed afterwards.
Best for: UK bingo players who want some slots and live shows on the same account
Price
Free to join; £10 first deposit for the welcome offers
Jackpotjoy has been online since 2002, and you can still tell it started with bingo. The slots lobby is perfectly respectable, yet the site's identity, prices and offers are built around the bingo room. Our main complaint is a rule that catches careless sign-ups: you must choose the bingo offer or the free spins before you make your first deposit, and the choice is locked once the payment goes through. We read the full welcome terms and the operator pages. We did not make a deposit or a withdrawal for this piece.
The two welcome offers, side by side
Both offers want a £10 first deposit, and both want a further £10 of cash wagered. Which game you wager on depends on the offer you chose.
Bingo: deposit £10, wager at least £10 in cash on bingo, and you receive free tickets with a maximum value of £30 (if used on £1 tickets) and a minimum of 30p (if used on 1p tickets). The free tickets can only buy into the next available game. You cannot use them to bulk buy or buy ahead, and there is no cash alternative.
Slots: deposit £10, wager at least £10 in cash on slots, and you get 100 free spins on Fishin Frenzy The Big Catch 2, at a 1p coin size across 10 lines. The spin terms state the spins carry no wagering requirements.
You have 30 days to complete the qualifying steps. For the spins, a further 30 days follow to play them before they expire. Only one welcome offer applies per member, and the direct registration link works once.

The opt-in trap
Rule 3 of the casino terms is the line to read twice. If you do not choose the free spins before your first deposit, you cannot opt in afterwards. Your choice is locked when the first deposit succeeds. Rule 11 adds that each offer excludes the other type of play: the spins offer excludes bingo wagering, and the bingo offer excludes casino and slots wagering.
None of this is sneaky, and the page is clear. It is the sort of rule that costs real money to someone who deposits first and reads later. Pick the offer on the registration page, then deposit.
Bingo is where the site earns its keep
Jackpotjoy's bingo page lists 75-ball, 90-ball and 80-ball games, with tickets from 1p, plus themed rooms such as Fishin' Frenzy Bingo, Lounge Bingo, Superlinks Bingo and Session Bingo. A cheap ticket price is useful if you want a long evening on a small budget. Our one caution is that cheap tickets do not change the odds: the more you play, the more you spend.
The site says it paid out over £41 million in jackpot prizes in 2025. That is Jackpotjoy's own figure and we cannot verify it, so read it as marketing.

The bingo page repeats the two welcome banners above the game rooms.
Joy Points are the loyalty scheme, handed out when you win a prize online. We could not find a public points-to-reward table on the pages we read, so the value of the scheme is unclear. The site also runs live shows with real hosts, which sets it apart from bingo sites that only offer the rooms.
Slots: wide enough, and leaning on one franchise
The about page claims over 1,000 games across bingo, slots, jackpots and instant win scratchcards. The slots page links popular titles such as Big Bass Splash, Gates of Olympus, Blood Suckers Megaways and Double Bubble. You will find the usual UK staples. Demo mode on the slots lets you try a game without staking money.
The welcome spins are tied to the fishing franchise that Jackpotjoy has built much of its slot brand around. If that theme bores you, the 100 spins are less appealing, and the bingo offer is the better pick.

Payouts and who runs it
Jackpotjoy is operated by Gamesys Operations Limited, part of Bally's, and is licensed by the Great Britain Gambling Commission and the Gibraltar regulator. That is a solid baseline. The site does not state a withdrawal time on the pages we read, and its help centre blocked our automated tools. Sports Mole's guide puts processing at roughly 4 to 24 hours, with your bank or e-wallet adding more. A Trustpilot page includes a complaint about slow payouts and an account closure. One review is anecdote, but it is a reason to withdraw small amounts first and verify your identity early.
Verdict: a bingo home with a decent annex
If you want bingo with a few slots on the side, Jackpotjoy balances the two well enough. If you want a deep slots library, a long bonus window or a clear published payout speed, other UK sites do more. The terms are honest, the spins are wager-free, and the opt-in rule is the one thing to watch.
Gambling is for adults aged 18 or over and should be paid for from spare money. Set deposit limits, take breaks, and use GamStop or BeGambleAware if play stops being fun.
